A couple has landed in the record books after a decidedly wholesome kissing marathon that saw one man shower his girlfriend’s cheek with affection at lightning speed.
Joshua Saunders officially set a new Guinness World Records title for the most kisses in 30 seconds by a pair, delivering an astonishing 146 pecks during a carefully supervised attempt at Guinness headquarters.
However, unlike what some viewers initially assumed, the kisses were not shared lip to lip. Video released by Guinness World Records clearly shows Saunders repeatedly kissing his girlfriend Jenny Troy on the cheek as she smiled, laughed, and leaned into the moment.
Standing side by side, Saunders moved with machine like precision, planting rapid fire kisses on Troy’s cheek while she giggled throughout the attempt, clearly enjoying the affectionate onslaught. Each kiss had to be distinct and clearly visible to count, leaving no margin for slowing down or missed contact.
When the 30 second timer stopped, officials confirmed the final tally at 146 kisses, officially securing the couple a place in Guinness World Records history.
Speaking after the attempt, Saunders said the challenge was far more demanding than it looked, requiring speed, rhythm, and surprising stamina. Troy described the experience as joyful and surreal, admitting she struggled not to laugh as the kisses kept coming.
Guinness World Records later confirmed the achievement after reviewing the footage, emphasizing that cheek kisses fully met the criteria for the category.
