A shocking crash in Lee County left a luxury car crushed beneath a school bus and stunned onlookers fearing the worst after dramatic video of the wreck surfaced online.

Authorities say a Jaguar slammed into the back of a school bus and became lodged underneath it, creating a terrifying scene that many initially feared would end in tragedy. Miraculously, no students were on board at the time of the collision, according to Lee County Schools.

The bus driver was taken to the hospital after complaining of dizziness, while officials later confirmed that only minor injuries were reported overall. The driver of the Jaguar was cited at the scene for following too close, investigators said.

Lee County Sheriff's Office addressed the crash as images and video quickly spread, showing the front end of the Jaguar wedged beneath the towering bus in a way that made survival seem unlikely.

“This video is incredibly hard to watch, and I thank God no students were on the bus and no one was seriously injured,” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

Local resident Dave Johns echoed the horror many felt after seeing the wreckage. “You would’ve thought the driver’s head was cut off because his car literally went under the bus,” he said.

Despite the violent nature of the crash, officials stressed how fortunate the outcome was, calling it a near miss that could have ended very differently had children been aboard the bus.
