A bizarre confrontation involving an Uber driver and a teenage passenger dressed as an animal is going viral, and critics say it is yet another sign that reality itself is under assault.
According to reports circulating on social media, a teenage girl ordered an Uber while wearing an animal costume. When the driver arrived and attempted to begin the ride, the girl allegedly started barking, refused to speak normally, and insisted that she was a dog.
The driver, visibly confused and unwilling to play along, asked her to exit the vehicle and suggested she book an Uber designated for pets instead.
While the incident might sound like satire, it is being linked to a growing trend in Argentina where individuals openly pretend to be animals, rejecting basic human behavior and social norms in favor of so called “animal identities.”
Videos online show people crawling on all fours, wearing tails, leashes, and masks, and demanding to be treated as animals in public spaces. Critics warn that the phenomenon is not harmless role play but another example of extreme identity ideology being normalized and encouraged.
The trend has sparked outrage across social media, with many asking how far society is expected to go in indulging identity claims that defy biology, logic, and common sense. Others raised concerns about public safety, especially when strangers are pressured to accept bizarre behavior without question.
