Imagine waking up every day knowing that, at any moment, a stranger might knock on your door demanding a Crunchwrap Supreme. That is not a hypothetical. That is the daily reality for one homeowner whose house has somehow been listed as a Taco Bell pickup location on DoorDash.
For months, confused delivery drivers have been showing up at his front door expecting to pick up orders from Taco Bell. Instead, they are greeted by a regular guy standing in a regular house that contains zero industrial kitchens and absolutely no Baja Blast.
According to the homeowner, this is not an occasional mix-up. It happens every single day. Sometimes multiple times a day. Drivers arrive holding their phones, looking increasingly stressed, convinced that this must be the right place because the app says so.
The man has tried to fix it the normal way. He has contacted DoorDash. He has contacted Taco Bell. He has explained repeatedly that he is not a restaurant and has never been a restaurant. Despite his efforts, the drivers just keep coming. He describes it as living in Groundhog Day, except instead of reliving the same morning, he is reliving the same argument about imaginary tacos.
Eventually, the situation escalated.
During one visit, the homeowner handed a driver a brown paper bag. The driver took one look at it, realized something was very wrong, and immediately called the police.
When officers arrived, they explained the complaint. The driver had picked up a Taco Bell order from the homeowner, but the contents of the bag were not Taco Bell food. The driver was confused.
The homeowner responded dryly, “So am I.”
Then the police asked the question everyone was thinking. What was in the bag?
The homeowner looked them straight in the eyes and said, “Cat shit.”
He then calmly added, “I’m trying to solve this problem creatively.”
The officers left after about fifteen minutes, presumably with a story they would never be able to fully explain to anyone else.
But the nightmare did not end there.
Just fifteen minutes after the police drove away, another DoorDash driver showed up at the door looking for a Taco Bell order.
