There are flashy car flexes, and then there’s whatever this was.
A video making the rounds online shows a chrome-wrapped Factory Five Cobra kit car pulling a dramatic move in a Las Vegas intersection, pausing mid U turn like the driver suddenly remembered they left the stove on, and then getting absolutely nailed by an oncoming SUV.
Game. Over.
Let’s clear something up right away, because the internet is already doing internet things. Despite some wild claims floating around, this was not a one million dollar hypercar. This was a Factory Five Cobra kit car, which is still insanely cool and still insanely expensive, but more realistically valued somewhere in the $150,000 to $200,000 range, depending on build and parts.
Still, that is not the kind of car you want to test fate with in the middle of traffic.
The video shows the Cobra slowly creeping into a U-turn at an intersection in Las Vegas, then stopping dead in the road for reasons known only to the driver. Seconds later, an SUV comes through and plows right into it, turning a shiny head-turning toy into a very expensive insurance conversation.
Moral of the story?
If you’re going to flex a car that shiny, you better drive it like everyone else on the road is actively trying to destroy it. Because sometimes, they accidentally do.
