Food Influencer Calls Whole Tomato ‘Iconic’ At Las Vegas Restaurant...Internet Says: ‘This Is Peak Dystopia’

An influencer has sparked a wave of online mockery after enthusiastically praising a restaurant for serving her a whole tomato and lemon instead of the traditional bread basket — with critics branding the moment “dystopian.”

Cassidy Miller, a New Jersey-based content creator, shared the viral moment in a TikTok video filmed during a visit to the upscale restaurant LPM in Las Vegas.

In the clip, which has racked up more than five million views, Miller appears delighted as the table is presented not with warm bread — but with a single tomato and lemon.

“OK, so we’re at LPM in Vegas and they give out tomatoes and lemon as your little bread at the table,” she says in the video.

Rather than questioning the unusual appetizer, Miller seemed thrilled by the alternative.

“Which is great for me because I’m gluten-free, so this is, like, iconic,” she added.

The influencer then filmed herself carefully preparing the dish, slicing into the tomato before squeezing lemon juice on top and drizzling it with olive oil, salt and pepper.

“Wow. So fresh, so good,” she said after taking a bite.

But while Miller appeared impressed by the minimalist offering, viewers online were far less convinced — and quickly flooded the comments section with disbelief and jokes.

Many were baffled that anyone would treat a basic tomato as a luxury dining experience.

“If someone brought me a tomato in place of bread, I would contact my lawyer immediately,” one user joked.

Another sarcastically asked: “Do they let you wash the dishes for the full experience?”

Others mocked what they saw as the absurdity of influencer culture elevating everyday food into something extraordinary.
