A classroom reality check is going viral after a teacher decided to give his students the most brutally honest preview of adulthood they’ll probably hear before graduation.
In the video circulating online, a teacher stands in front of his class delivering what might be the funniest—and most depressing—presentation about growing up ever created. Instead of a normal lecture, he breaks down “adulthood” like it’s a bad restaurant on Yelp.
His rating?
One star. Would not recommend.
The teacher walks students through the “review,” explaining that adulthood comes with a long list of expensive responsibilities. He jokes that rent alone can run anywhere from $900 to $2,000 a month, followed by car insurance, bills, and eventually raising children.
In other words, the kind of stuff that makes kids immediately reconsider ever wanting to grow up.
At one point, he jokingly advises the students to “be a child until you’re about 88 years old” just to avoid the avalanche of responsibilities waiting for them on the other side.
The classroom erupts in laughter, but the message clearly lands.
