There are few things tougher in life than trying to promote something in public when absolutely nobody around you acknowledges that you exist.
Unfortunately for Ben Stiller, the internet just got front row seats to exactly that happening.
A video making the rounds online shows the actor standing in the middle of a busy New York Whole Foods store enthusiastically promoting his soda brand, Stiller's Soda. He’s surrounded by stacks of bright green and pink cans, clearly set up like a full display, and you can tell he’s trying to bring the energy.
Big smile, hand gestures. The problem? Literally nobody seems to notice.
Shoppers are just walking past him like he’s a cardboard cutout. People grabbing groceries, pushing carts, looking for cereal, completely unfazed that a pretty famous actor is standing five feet away hyping a drink.
Meanwhile Stiller is stuck there awkwardly rocking back and forth like a kid waiting for someone to start the presentation.
At one point, he spots the camera filming the whole thing and throws a thumbs up like, “Yep, this is going great,” even though the entire grocery store appears to be operating on a strict do not acknowledge Ben Stiller policy.
Which honestly makes the whole clip 10 times funnier.
The drink he’s promoting, Stiller’s Soda, launched in September 2025 and was co-founded by Stiller along with entrepreneur Alex Doman.
The idea behind it is basically a healthier throwback soda.
We’re talking 30 calories, all-natural ingredients, and flavors like Lemon-Lime and Shirley Temple. The drinks also pack in vitamins like B12, C, and D, so technically, you can tell yourself you’re making a responsible decision while drinking soda.
