A 500-pound man sparked a major emergency response after he was found trapped inside a 15-foot-deep hole at a construction site in Pomona, leaving officials scrambling to figure out how he ended up there in the first place.
The man, who has not been identified, was not a construction worker and had no known connection to the site, deepening the mystery surrounding the bizarre incident.
Dramatic rescue efforts unfolded as crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department rushed to the scene, deploying a specialized Heavy Rescue unit to carefully hoist the man out of the pit.
