A cosmetic surgeon’s career has been thrown into turmoil after disturbing videos allegedly showed her dancing and rapping in the operating room, with authorities linking her conduct to a series of botched procedures, including one that left a patient with permanent brain damage.

Windell Davis-Boutte, a dermatologist based in Georgia, has had her medical license suspended following an investigation into her practices.

Footage that surfaced online reportedly shows the doctor and members of her staff dancing, singing and even twirling a scalpel while patients lay sedated on the operating table, actions that medical authorities say violated basic sterile protocols.

Regulators found evidence of substandard care in at least seven separate cases, citing serious complications including infections, disfigurement, and, in one instance, catastrophic brain injury.

In that case, a patient suffered permanent damage after experiencing respiratory failure following surgery, according to findings from the state medical board.

The shocking revelations have prompted outrage, with critics questioning how such behaviour was allowed to continue for so long.

Records indicate that legal action followed, with multiple lawsuits filed against Davis-Boutte, some of which were later settled. She also agreed to a voluntary suspension of her license lasting more than two years.

However, the controversy has taken a new turn after reports in 2024 claimed the doctor had resumed practicing under a different name.

According to those reports, Davis-Boutte allegedly operated under the alias “Catherine Davis” at a medspa in Texas, despite the suspension still being in effect.

The claims have reignited public anger, with many expressing concern over patient safety and calling for stricter oversight and accountability in the medical profession.

While officials continue to review the case, the incident has raised broader questions about trust in healthcare systems and whether existing safeguards are sufficient to prevent similar situations in the future.
