The internet is currently trying to process a clip of Martha Stewart casually holding a puppy, smiling like she’s about to share a baking tip… and instead dropping one of the most unhinged pet ownership takes of all time.
No buildup. No hesitation. Just straight to:
“I bite the animal right here on its mouth hard… and it squeals.”
Excuse me???
And the wildest part? She doesn’t say it like it’s weird. She says it like she’s explaining how to properly fold a napkin. Calm. Confident. Zero doubt that this is completely normal behavior.
According to Martha, that’s how the puppy knows she’s the mother.
Now listen, I’m not a veterinarian. I didn’t go to dog school. But I’m pretty sure the average training advice is somewhere between “positive reinforcement” and “maybe don’t chomp your dog’s face until it cries.”
To be fair, in the animal kingdom, that kind of behavior does exist. Dogs correct their puppies physically. But usually it’s not coming from someone who also has a line of luxury bedding and teaches America how to arrange hydrangeas.
