Shocking bodycam footage has revealed the moment Tiger Woods described the split-second distraction that led to his terrifying rollover crash in Florida.

In the newly released video, the golf legend can be heard telling a police officer exactly what happened in the moments before the accident.

“I looked down at my phone and all of a sudden, boom,” Woods said, recounting the incident that left his vehicle overturned and sparked immediate concern among fans worldwide.

But newly revealed details add another troubling layer to the crash.

According to an affidavit, Woods told deputies he had not consumed any alcohol, but admitted he had taken “a few” prescription medications earlier that day. During a search following his arrest, officers reportedly found two white pills in his left pants pocket, later identified as hydrocodone.

The incident has now taken a more serious turn, with Woods addressing the situation publicly in a candid statement released Tuesday, announcing he will be stepping away from the spotlight.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods said. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

The 15-time major winner added that he is committed to returning stronger, both mentally and physically, but made clear that his immediate focus is recovery.

“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally,” he said. “I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
