A disturbing video circulating online shows the brutal moment a teenage girl was violently attacked in broad daylight on a New York City street, allegedly after refusing to give her phone number to a boy.
The incident took place in East Harlem, where a 14-year-old suspect has since been arrested and charged with assault following the confrontation with a 15-year-old girl.
Footage captured from a high-angle security camera shows the girl attempting to cross the street at a marked crosswalk as the boy, dressed in dark clothing, approaches her. According to reports, he begins harassing her, appearing to demand her phone number as she tries to move away and avoid the interaction.
Moments later, the situation escalates dramatically.
The video shows the boy suddenly grabbing the girl and forcefully slamming her to the ground. As she lies on the pavement, he then stomps on her head before calmly walking away from the scene, leaving her injured in the street.
The victim was later treated for a concussion but is reported to be in stable condition.
