Scooter Guy Tries To Beat A Cement Truck By Half A Second, Immediately Learns Why That’s A Horrible Idea
31 days ago
A viral video circulating online is leaving viewers stunned after a scooter rider narrowly avoided serious injury when he attempted to dart in front of a moving cement mixer truck and was immediately knocked to the ground.
The clip, shared by a popular “second before disaster” style account, shows the rider approaching a wet barrier entrance as a massive cement truck slowly moves through the area. Rather than waiting a few extra seconds for the truck to pass, the scooter rider suddenly cuts directly in front of the vehicle in an apparent attempt to beat it through the entrance.
The decision instantly backfires.
Within moments, the front of the truck strikes the scooter, sending the rider tumbling onto the pavement while the enormous vehicle continues rolling forward. The footage briefly makes it appear as though the incident could turn catastrophic.
But in a shocking twist, the rider quickly stands back up and appears largely unharmed despite the violent collision.
The video has since exploded across social media, where many users criticized the scooter rider’s impatience and reckless judgment around such a large vehicle. Others pointed out how dangerous it is for motorcycles and scooters to maneuver close to heavy trucks, especially in areas with poor visibility and slippery road conditions.
Cement mixer trucks are known for having major blind spots around the front and sides of the vehicle, making it difficult for drivers to spot smaller vehicles attempting sudden movements nearby.
