Mexico-A heartbroken family is demanding justice after a 37-year-old woman was allegedly killed during a routine cosmetic procedure at a rogue beauty clinic, only for her unconscious body to be callously dumped in a roadside ditch days later.

Blanca Adriana Vázquez Montiel, a mother and stylist from Puebla, vanished on May 18 after going for what she believed was a safe liposuction at the 'Detox' aesthetic clinic on Calzada Zavaleta in the Santa Cruz Buenavista neighbourhood. Her devastated husband waited anxiously outside while she underwent the treatment. Staff reportedly sent him out to buy a compression garment – only for him to return to a locked, empty clinic with no sign of his wife.

Shocking CCTV footage captured what investigators believe happened next: clinic operator Diana Alejandra Palafox Romero, her son Carlos Quezada Palafox, and an unidentified assistant dragging Blanca's limp, unconscious body from the premises and bundling it into the trunk of a red Mini Cooper with Tlaxcala plates.

The vehicle was later located during the desperate search.

Tragically, on Thursday, authorities confirmed the discovery of a body matching Blanca's description in a ditch in Altzayanca, Tlaxcala, just days after her disappearance. The grim find has sparked widespread fury across Mexico, with many calling it a clear case of medical negligence and possible feminicide.

Palafox, who has no medical license or professional registration according to reports, allegedly operated the 'Detox' clinic illegally, offering cut-price liposuctions and other procedures with promises of quick recovery. Critics say such unregulated 'beauty clinics' are a growing plague in Mexico, preying on women desperate for affordable enhancements.

Family members described Blanca as a vibrant, loving woman. Her brother and husband launched frantic searches and distributed missing person alerts after she failed to respond to calls or messages.

One relative told local media she had gone in for a supposedly 'non-invasive' abdominal procedure, but was never seen alive again.

The case has ignited a firestorm on social media, with thousands expressing outrage at the alleged callousness of the clinic operators."These people are monsters," one commenter wrote. "They treated her like garbage."Others demanded immediate arrests and stricter regulation of aesthetic clinics nationwide. "How many more women have to die before authorities shut these places down?" asked another.

Puebla authorities have reportedly closed the 'Detox' clinic and are hunting for Palafox, her son, and the assistant. The case is being investigated as a possible homicide, with questions swirling about what went wrong during the procedure – and why staff allegedly chose to dispose of Blanca rather than seek emergency medical help.

This horrifying incident shines a brutal spotlight on the dangers of Mexico's booming but often poorly regulated cosmetic surgery industry, where unqualified operators promise dream bodies at bargain prices, sometimes with deadly consequences.

Blanca's family is now left to pick up the pieces, mourning a beloved wife and mother whose only 'crime' was wanting to feel more confident.

Our thoughts are with Blanca's loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. Justice must be served.
