A popular YouTuber known for dishing out gourmet feasts to the down-and-out got a shocking taste of street chaos when a random thug blindsided him during a nighttime food giveaway, only for the homeless crowd to turn into an unlikely security detail and pin the attacker until cops hauled him away.
Kr3w Kali, who boasts hundreds of thousands of views for his over-the-top “5-star restaurant for the homeless” videos featuring lamb roasts, tomahawk steaks, and massive BBQ spreads, was serving up a gourmet barbecue buffet in Sacramento when disaster struck.
In footage from his latest video, titled “I Was Blindsided While Feeding The Homeless!,” the young content creator, wearing an apron and white trucker hat, is seen chatting and handing out plates when a man suddenly rushes in from the side and shoves him hard to the ground.
“I got attacked... Somebody blindsided me from the side. I never seen this person before in my entire life,” Kali told police on camera, visibly shaken but unhurt.
The attack could have turned ugly fast, but the very folks lined up for free hot meals sprang into action. Several men from the crowd quickly swarmed the suspect, holding him down and shielding Kali until Sacramento police arrived on the scene with lights flashing.
Cops arrested the attacker on the spot. Kali, showing the kind of grit that built his channel, dusted himself off and went right back to passing out food.
This isn’t the first time the YouTuber’s charity feeds have gotten dicey. He’s documented previous confrontations and even run-ins with local authorities while trying to serve the streets.
