It was the kind of wild, once-in-a-lifetime scene only New York could produce.
The Knicks were celebrating their first NBA title in 53 years with a massive ticker-tape parade down Broadway on Thursday, and the streets were pure chaos, screaming fans, scaffolding climbers, and enough energy to power the city for a week.
Then one guy took it too far.
A Knicks fan reportedly overdosed amid the madness and passed out on a raised platform overlooking the route. Bystanders panicked and started calling for help. That’s when a quick-thinking woman in a tight blue outfit stepped in, administered Narcan, and went to work reviving him.
The dramatic moment was caught on video, which is now blowing up across social media.
As the guy came to, groggy and disoriented, he looked up at his savior and immediately leaned in for a kiss.
She wasn’t having it.
The woman pulled back, turned her head, and eventually had to physically push him away while still trying to keep him steady. The guy, clearly still out of it, kept making moves like he thought he was in a rom-com instead of the middle of a chaotic championship parade.“He’s trying to kiss her!” one onlooker can be heard saying in the clip.
The video shows a crowd of helpers swarming the scene, one guy in blue gloves checking on him, another filming, a fan in a Knicks jersey standing over the action, and people on phones frantically calling for help. The woman stayed focused on the medical situation while repeatedly dodging the revived fan’s advances.
