A bare-chested Scottish lunatic went on a knife-wielding rampage through Edinburgh on Friday night, stabbing five men in what police are treating as a suspected anti-Muslim stabbing spree.
The 36-year-old local was nailed by cops after a terrifying series of attacks that began near a mosque in the city’s west end and spread to other areas, including Leith Walk.
Chilling bystander video and CCTV footage show the suspect prowling the streets brandishing a massive blade, described as a machete or sword. He’s seen smashing a car at a gas station and battering the door of a pizzeria as panicked locals scattered.
When officers finally wrestled him to the ground, the raging knifeman made no apologies.“I’m protecting the country from these fucking Muslim bastards raping our young daughters!” he reportedly shouted during the arrest.
Five men were injured in the attacks — two aged 22 and others aged 24, 27 and 39. Three were hospitalized, but none of the wounds were life-threatening, according to police.
The violence reportedly started near the Broomhouse mosque, where two men were targeted after Friday prayers.
Counter-terrorism officers have taken charge of the investigation. Police Scotland said the suspect has been charged in connection with the incidents and there is “no further threat to the public.”
Prime Minister Keir Starmer moved quickly to condemn the bloodshed.“Absolutely appalling,” Starmer wrote on X. “No one should face violence on our streets. The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. He will face the full force of the law.”
The brazen attack comes as Britain grapples with long-simmering fury over grooming gang scandals, where predominantly Pakistani Muslim networks abused thousands of vulnerable young British girls while authorities dragged their feet for years — often citing fears of “racism” accusations.
The suspect’s outburst during arrest directly referenced those scandals, framing his actions as twisted “protection” for British girls.
