A jaw-dropping video out of Vietnam is going viral for all the right (and wrong) reasons.
The unnamed trucker is rolling down a rural road when he spots a massive snake stretched across the pavement. Most normal humans would hit the gas and pray it doesn’t come after them.
Not this guy.
He slams on the brakes, hops out of his blue Thaco Frontier truck in sandals and a gray T-shirt, and goes, full action hero. Squatting down, he snatches the long serpent, giving it a wild spin to get control — before casually walking it back to his rig like it’s a bag of groceries.
Cigarette dangling from his lips, the driver drapes the snake over his shoulder and arm, flashes a big grin straight at the camera, climbs into the cab, and just… drives away. Snake and all.
Why risk getting bitten (or worse) for a roadside reptile? Because in Vietnam, live snakes have serious market value. They’re a popular delicacy in restaurants and markets, often sold live. A large specimen like the one in the video can reportedly fetch around 1.2 million Vietnamese dong — roughly 50 bucks.
That’s a solid bonus on top of whatever he was hauling.
