A no-nonsense Detroit mom refused to let a car thief slip away again, so she stormed into a barbershop, yanked the suspect out by his dreadlocks, and held him until cops showed up.
The jaw-dropping confrontation was caught on video and is once again blowing up online.
Bianca Chambers had her brand-new Mercedes-Benz stolen from a west-side strip mall. For days, she hunted the thief using social media tips and called Detroit police four times. Every time, the joyrider was long gone by the time officers arrived.
Then she spotted her ride parked outside the 7 Days West barbershop at Greenfield and Grand River. Inside, 19-year-old Michael Tolbert was getting his dreads freshly twisted.
Chambers wasn’t playing. She slashed all four tires on her own Benz so the thief couldn’t make another getaway. Then she marched inside, confronted him face-to-face, and dragged him out by his hair while customers jumped in to help pin him down.
“He’s at 7 Days West, getting his dreds twisted,” she said in a Facebook Live as she watched the scene unfold.
Chambers later made it crystal clear she had zero regrets.“I’m sorry to say, but I don’t regret anything,” she said. “I feel like I did my job. I did what I was supposed to do.”
Tolbert was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property worth $20,000 or more. The car had been used for days of joyriding, with the thief and his crew reportedly smoking and living it up inside the luxury ride.
The viral clip shows the intense moment Chambers refused to let the thief walk free, holding him until police finally took over.
