Sea World Dives Into The Gutter: E-40 Turns Family Theme Park Into A Raunchy Rap Rumpus As Twerking Fans Storm Past Security

SAN DIEGO — What were they thinking?

In a baffling decision that screams desperate cash grab, SeaWorld San Diego handed the mic to gangster rap veteran E-40 on Saturday night, and watched its wholesome family theme park devolve into a chaotic, adult-only block party complete with capacity crowds rushing security and plenty of twerking right by the dolphin tanks.

Video from the so-called “Summer Spectacular” shows the Bayside Amphitheater packed to the gills with rowdy fans ignoring rules, cramming walkways, and dropping it low like they were at a club, not a place where parents take kids to see killer whales and pet stingrays. One clip captures a woman in shorts twerking shamelessly waterside while the crowd hoots, exactly the kind of family-friendly entertainment SeaWorld apparently now endorses.

This isn’t “adding an exciting new dimension,” as the park’s CEO cluelessly claimed. It’s torching decades of branding built on cute marine animals and roller coasters for the sake of chasing a different demographic. SeaWorld is supposed to be for families, not a venue for hyphy anthems and grinding in front of Shamu’s pool.

E-40, the Bay Area legend known for street anthems, delivered his usual high-energy set of hits. But the real show was the inappropriate mismatch: parents who showed up expecting a nice day out got an impromptu rap concert that quickly turned raunchy and overcrowded.

Attendees reportedly blew past security even after the venue hit max capacity, because nothing says “safe family environment” like overwhelmed staff and rule-breaking mobs.

The decision to roll out a whole series featuring gangster rappers like E-40, Soulja Boy, and Too $hort at a place literally named for the sea and its creatures is tone-deaf at best, reckless at worst. SeaWorld is bleeding relevance and clearly willing to sell its soul, or at least its wholesome image, for ticket sales.

Sorry, kids. The dolphins are now sharing the spotlight with twerking and bass drops. What a brilliant idea.
