A hapless GLS delivery truck driver in the Netherlands spent several agonizing minutes botching a simple turnaround, until the local homeowner finally lost his patience, hopped behind the wheel, and showed the pro how it’s done.

Security camera footage from April 19, 2024, near Engelbert (just off the A7 highway) captures the whole humiliating scene. The big white GLS tractor-trailer needed to reverse and spin around because of a low viaduct that trucks can’t squeeze under. Easy enough for any decent driver… or so you’d think.

Instead, the trucker kept jackknifing, inching forward and back, blocking the narrow residential road while traffic and a cyclist waited. The black station wagon and red Mini parked in the driveway were looking more and more like collateral damage.

Enter Robbert Kuil.

The neighbor marches out of his house, has a quick chat with the struggling driver, and, in a move that would make any truck-driving instructor proud, takes the keys. The actual GLS guy steps aside like a chastened student.

Kuil climbs in, calmly pulls the massive rig out, swings it around in one clean, confident maneuver, and hands the truck back. Mission accomplished. No drama, no dents, no more wasted time.

The clip exploded online, racking up millions of views.
