A heated argument over a delayed pizza order erupted into gunfire and a wild street brawl outside a São Paulo pizzeria, captured in a dramatic video now circulating online.

The incident unfolded Wednesday night at the Ferrari Pizzeria on Avenida Oliveira Freire in the Parque Paulistano neighborhood of São Paulo’s eastern zone. According to the delivery driver involved, he had been waiting more than an hour to pick up an order when he complained about the delay and requested a cancellation.

What started as a dispute quickly turned physical. The driver said a pizzeria employee shoved him to the ground, snatched his cellphone, and punched him in the head and eye. He left the scene and returned minutes later with a group of fellow motorcycle delivery drivers to demand answers.

That’s when the situation exploded. A man connected to the restaurant, described in social media posts as a legal gun owner with a permit, pulled a handgun and fired multiple rounds (reports say around five shots) in the direction of the arriving motoboys. Video footage shows the armed man pointing the silver revolver, chasing some of the drivers, and continuing to brandish the weapon as the group closed in.

In the chaotic climax of the clip, one of the delivery drivers swings a motorcycle helmet and smashes it into the gunman’s face and head. The armed man collapses, appears knocked unconscious, and is quickly dragged inside the pizzeria as staff slam the doors shut. Crowds of motoboys can be heard in the video taunting that the gun was empty.

Brazilian news outlets confirmed the sequence matches the circulating footage. No injuries from the gunfire have been reported so far, and authorities have not yet announced arrests. The original delivery driver said he planned to file a police report at the 50th precinct with his attorney. Military police were called to the scene to restore order.

The confrontation highlights ongoing tensions between delivery workers and restaurants in Brazil’s major cities, where long wait times and alleged mistreatment have fueled repeated protests. Video of the helmet strike and the armed response has spread rapidly across social media, with many Brazilian users cheering the motoboys’ retaliation under slogans like “Don’t mess with the delivery guys.”

São Paulo police are investigating the full circumstances, including the legality of the firearm discharge and the initial assault claims.
