A Florida Instagram model and mom of a young son wasn’t about to let armed thugs ruin family game night, even if she was only half-dressed when she opened fire.
Surveillance video from the October 2020 home invasion in Miami Lakes shows Ansley Pacheco, then 26, charging out of her bedroom in a white crop top and thong underwear, gun in hand, ready for war.
Pacheco had been in the bathroom when she heard the chaos erupt. Her husband, their 7-year-old son, and several friends were watching the Miami Heat when two masked, armed robbers forced their way inside after ambushing a guest in the driveway.
“Get down, get down, give me everything you got,” the invaders barked, according to Pacheco.
She didn’t freeze. She ran to the nightstand, grabbed the family firearm, and flung open the bedroom door, still wearing nothing but that skimpy white top and underwear.
Face-to-face with one of the gunmen, she refused to drop her weapon when he ordered her to.“Don’t shoot me, my son is in here,” she yelled.
Gunfire erupted. The intruders pumped six or seven rounds in her direction. Pacheco returned fire. No one was hit.
The robbers bolted, making off with some jewelry and watches. Her husband then grabbed the gun and chased them outside, squeezing off shots at their getaway car as they fled.
“I just knew that I had to do something, and my first instinct was to grab the gun and defend my husband and my son,” Pacheco later told reporters. “They could’ve killed him; they could’ve killed me. They didn’t care at all.”
The viral video, which has resurfaced again years later, captures the entire badass moment: the half-naked mom striding toward danger like she owned the night, then calmly recounting the ordeal in a later interview.
Miami-Dade police never publicly announced arrests in the case. Pacheco, an OnlyFans model and influencer at the time, has said she had never fired a gun in a real-life crisis before that night.
