OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Police Department has released striking aerial drone footage capturing a high-speed vehicle pursuit that ended in a violent T-bone collision after a driver fled a traffic stop.
According to police, officers attempted to stop the driver for traffic violations. Instead of complying, the suspect accelerated away in a red sports car, leading officers on a chase through residential streets.
The remarkable video, captured by the department’s Real Time Information Center (RTIC) drone, shows the vehicle weaving through suburban neighborhoods before it is struck broadside at an intersection. A massive cloud of dust and debris erupts as the cars collide. The fleeing driver was quickly taken into custody following the crash and sustained only minor injuries.
The footage offers a clear, overhead view of the entire sequence, from the initial police contact to the dramatic conclusion, highlighting both the danger the suspect created for other motorists and nearby residents and the effectiveness of modern police technology in tracking and resolving the incident.
