An Uber Eats driver turned a simple food delivery into a full-blown brawl at Barstool Sports’ Manhattan headquarters Monday, attacking an employee and then pummeling the company’s security guard before getting dogpiled by the rest of the staff.
Barstool founder Dave Portnoy dropped the wild security footage on X, captioning it with the play-by-play of the chaos that erupted in the hallway outside the office.
According to Portnoy, the driver got into a heated argument with Barstool employee Gia over her order. When security guard Dan stepped into the hallway to tell the guy to beat it, the delivery man snapped and “attacked him. Beat him up pretty good.”
That’s when the cavalry arrived. “@stoolsalesguy saved the day pulling him off,” Portnoy wrote. “(Thankfully it was Gaz and not Mintzy who arrived 1st.) Then the rest of the troops rushed in, followed by Cody and Travy for the Boys to help out.”
The grainy security cam video shows the brutal close-quarters scrap near the office entrance, bodies hitting the floor, limbs flailing, a sneaker flying, before the wider lobby shot captures the office emptying as employees charge the scene. One staffer in a bright red shirt, identified by Portnoy as Tom Scibelli, is seen locking down the area like a pro while the rest of the crew piles on to restrain the suspect.
“Now what we got to pay very close attention to in the security footage we pulled is how @TomScibelli handled this explosive situation. Bravery like this can not go unnoticed. Totally secured and locked down the office,” Portnoy wrote.
Cops eventually showed up and hauled the driver away in cuffs. Guard Dan is expected to need a few stitches—and “a couple beers,” Portnoy added with classic Stool sarcasm.
“All in all another day at the Stool,” the boss quipped, signing off with a pointed “Shoutout Mandami’s NYC.”The clip has already racked up millions of views, with Barstool fans praising the staff for having each other’s backs while others cracked jokes about the city’s current state of affairs. Just another Monday in New York.
