A terrified streamer thought his number was up when a massive brown bear came barreling straight at him — only to blow right past in a desperate hunt for dinner.FaZe Clan’s Adapt and fellow creator Maya Higa were sitting on a riverbank in Alaska during an IRL stream when the beast suddenly exploded into action. The powerful predator tore through the shallow water just feet in front of the pair, sending spray flying as it locked onto a salmon.
“My heart is beating out of my chest, I thought it was over,” Adapt said, still visibly rattled as he tried to catch his breath on camera.
The jaw-dropping moment, captured live and already racking up millions of views, shows the pair frozen in place while the bear powers past them. One second they’re calmly watching the wildlife. The next, a full-grown brown bear is charging so close they can practically feel the ground shake.
Adapt, known for high-energy gaming and content, looks like he’s just seen a ghost. His eyes go wide, his voice cracks, and he keeps repeating how close it felt. Higa, sitting right beside him in waders, can’t help but laugh through the tension once the danger (sort of) passes.
The clip shows the bear eventually snagging its prize, a flapping salmon clamped in its jaws, while a seagull circles overhead like it’s waiting for scraps. Classic Alaska.
The pair had been streaming their Alaskan adventure for days, hanging out near the water where bears routinely feast during salmon season.
