A Houston father looking for burgers got a lot more than he ordered when a DoorDash driver showed up at his front door wearing nothing but a smile, and it was all caught on camera.
Kiante Matlock was inside his northeast Houston home playing video games with his daughter last Monday when a notification popped up that their food had arrived. He checked his Ring camera and immediately wished he hadn’t.
The footage showed a man with shoulder-length dreadlocks dropping the bags on the porch and casually walking back to his car, completely naked.
“We all had some double cheeseburgers. I had a Whopper, but Buddy brought some hot dogs or something. He brought a glizzy, and ain’t nobody want that,” Matlock said.
Matlock, who uses DoorDash regularly, said he was in disbelief. He tossed the food and contacted the company, which refunded the order and permanently banned the driver.
“What this consumer experienced was abhorrent,” a DoorDash spokesperson said. “This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed their access to our platform. We do not tolerate sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind, and we stand ready to assist law enforcement with any investigation.”
Houston police say anyone who encounters a similar situation should report it, save the video, and call 911 if they feel unsafe. Criminal charges could be possible depending on the circumstances.
Matlock said he keeps thinking about other families the driver may have delivered to that night. For now, he’s thinking twice before hitting “order” again.
