Someone looked at a perfectly good backyard and thought: you know what this wedding needs? A see-through walkway over the swimming pool so guests can watch the couple float above the deep end like they’re in a luxury hotel commercial.
It did not go according to Pinterest.
In a clip ripping across X Sunday, the groom in a white dinner jacket and the bride in a strapless gown are being escorted across a grid of glass panels laid over an actual pool. White chairs, chandeliers, floral arch, the whole “we spent a fortune to look effortless” package. Then the man in the black suit (father of the bride, officiant, or whoever drew the short straw) hits a weak spot.
The panel drops. He goes in like a tuxedoed cannonball. The bride lurches. Guests scramble. Someone grabs her dress. The groom freezes like a man who just realized the venue contract did not include “structural engineering.”
Moral of the story: if your wedding aisle needs a lifeguard, you’ve already lost. Save the infinity-pool fantasies for the honeymoon suite. On the actual wedding day, concrete is underrated.
