Video circulating Monday shows the confrontation erupting immediately after a play, with children still in helmets and pads standing just feet away. What began as shouting near players on the ground quickly became shoving, grabbing, and a pile-up of grown men as referees tried to separate them.
The clip captures a man in a green pullover and patterned shorts walking onto the grass as kids in green-and-gold and white uniforms mill around. A referee in stripes approaches. Within seconds, other adults close in. One official reaches to restrain the man in green. More fathers and coaches pile into the scrum. At least one woman in a gray “Mickens” shirt can be seen pulling at the tangle as bodies hit the turf.
Kids never left the picture. One young player wearing a jersey that reads “BROOKS” stands nearby in full pads as the adults go down. Other children remain on the field while officials and parents try to break up the fight.
The game was canceled.
