Video circulating Thursday shows a man sitting on the peak of a residential roof in a black tank top, jeans, and red sneakers while emergency crews stacked up in the street below. Fire Truck 5 is parked out front. A cop car is in the mix. Somebody is looking out a window under the guy like they are waiting for him to remember gravity exists.
Instead of coming down, he treats the roof like a patio.
According to the clip and the accounts sharing it, officers were seen offering him cans of Twisted Tea. He took one. He cracked it. He chugged it. He tossed the empty. Then he settled back on the shingles like the negotiation had officially entered halftime.
That is the whole pitch. Come down. No. Twisted Tea? Still no. But thanks for the drink.
