Sydney Sweeney has officially entered her “I own a piece of the company, and I’m going to make damn sure you remember it” era.

On Wednesday, the Euphoria star and newly minted Novig equity partner dropped a one-minute campaign called “Just Sports.” The concept is simple: she is mostly naked, holding sports equipment in places that would get a regular person banned from every family cookout in America, and repeating the word “sports” like she’s trying to hypnotize the entire country.

It works.

The ad opens dark and cinematic. Lights. A silhouette. Then Sweeney appears, hair doing a lot of the heavy lifting, footballs and basketballs doing the rest. She’s on a basketball hoop. She’s in shoulder pads with nothing underneath. She’s lying on a pool table holding a soccer ball with her feet. At one point, she looks straight into the camera and says they wanted a show. They got one.

Novig is a sports prediction market, think betting, but dressed up like a stock exchange for people who actually watch the games. The whole pitch is that they only do sports. No wars. No deaths. No politics. Just you, your terrible takes, and whether the Chiefs cover. Sweeney delivers that line while barely dressed, which is either the most honest marketing in years or the most efficient way ever invented to make someone download an app.

She’s not just the face. She’s an equity partner who helped shape the campaign while filming in Australia. That detail matters. This isn’t some brand slapping a celebrity on a billboard. This is Sweeney leaning all the way into the persona that already made her one of the most talked-about women in America and using it to sell a product she actually owns a piece of.

The internet, as expected, lost its mind in about eleven different directions. Some people called it the best ad of the year. Some people acted personally offended that a beautiful woman would take her clothes off to sell sports trading. Most people just watched it three times and then opened another tab.

Love it or hate it, the ad does exactly what it was built to do. You remember the name. You remember the girl. And you definitely remember that Novig is “just sports.”Whether that’s enough to make people actually trade on the platform remains to be seen. But for 58 seconds on a Wednesday in September, Sydney Sweeney made an entire country stop scrolling.

That’s not advertising. That’s a public service.
