A bikini-clad tourist has been left in tears after a furious local man erupted in a shouting match when her group sat down next to him, simply because there was nowhere else to escape the blistering sun.

In a shaky video that has now been viewed more than 1.4 million times, the woman films herself walking along a rocky Turkish shoreline, voice trembling as she tells viewers: “I can’t believe this happened to me in Turkey.”

She and her companions had been looking for relief from the heat. With no other shade available on the pebble beach, they settled under the trees next to a group already there. According to her account, the man did not even try to talk to them first. He simply lost his temper.

“It was an unfortunate event,” she said. “I sit there every day and people come and sit next to me, but this man got angry immediately without speaking properly. He just started shouting and screaming.”

The clip captures the chaotic scene: women in swimsuits, a shirtless man holding a phone and what looks like a water pistol, trees offering the only cover, and the sea lapping at the stones. The tourist appears shaken as the confrontation unfolds around her.

Others defended the local man, arguing that tourists cannot simply plant themselves in someone else’s spot and expect a warm welcome, especially when families want a quiet moment under the only available shade.

The exact location of the beach has not been named, but the rocky setting and trees suggest one of Turkey’s less manicured public stretches rather than a luxury resort with rows of paid sunbeds.
