Shocking footage has emerged of a raging tradesman climbing onto a newly built extension and hacking it to pieces with a chainsaw – after claiming the homeowners stiffed him on the bill.
The astonishing clip, filmed by stunned neighbours in Swords, Co. Dublin, shows the workman in a red top clambering onto the flat roof before firing up the power tool and slicing through the structure he had only just completed.
As shocked residents rush outside waving phones, the builder can be heard roaring: “This is what happens when you don’t pay the f***ing bill.”He continues sawing for around two minutes, taunting the couple below by holding up the whirring chainsaw before calmly climbing back down.
The footage first exploded on Reddit under the caption “Fella in Swords Co. Dublin didn’t pay his builder” and has since gone viral across social media.
Locals later revealed this wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment outburst. Days earlier, the same tradesman had parked his van at a nearby roundabout and plastered the street with large red signs naming the address and declaring it “DID NOT PAY FOR BUILDING WORK.”
One neighbour wrote: “I would imagine the homeowners were well warned.”
