A stunning Austrian beauty influencer who posted glamorous selfies and singing videos to nearly 50,000 Instagram fans was found dead inside a suitcase buried in a remote forest after her jealous ex-boyfriend confessed to killing her in a fit of rage.
Stefanie Pieper, 31, vanished after returning from a Christmas party in Graz on 23 November 2025. Hours later she sent a chilling WhatsApp message to a friend warning of a "creep in the stairwell" of her apartment building. She never made it to a scheduled photoshoot the next day.
Her former partner. identified only as Patrick M or Peter M, a 31-year-old nightclub security guard and unsuccessful poker player. was arrested the following day near the Austrian-Slovenian border after his Volkswagen Golf was found burning in a casino car park. After extradition to Austria, he allegedly confessed that he had strangled the influencer during a jealous argument at her flat, stuffed her body into one of her own turquoise beauty suitcases, and driven it across the border to bury it in woodland south of Maribor.
Police later recovered her body from the shallow forest grave.
Neighbours had heard shouting from the apartment that morning. Stefanie had reportedly been trying to end the on-off relationship. The suspect later told his lawyer: "I didn't want to do it."An autopsy later raised the grim possibility that the makeup artist and singer — known online as @badgalfani for her bridal looks, fashion posts and vocal performances, may still have been alive when she was placed in the suitcase and buried. Prosecutors said it was "quite possible" she had only been unconscious when her body was hidden.
In September 2026, the Graz public prosecutor formally charged Patrick M with murder and interfering with a corpse. He now faces life in prison if convicted. Relatives who helped move the suitcase were questioned but not charged.
Tributes poured in for the popular Graz content creator, with fans calling her death a tragic waste of a bright, talented young woman who had her whole life ahead of her.
