Horrific drone footage released today has captured a Hamas terrorist cynically using a tiny child – believed to be just five years old – to carry weapons through the streets of Gaza.
The sickening clip, published by the IDF, shows the youngster walking alongside an armed man in central Gaza, clutching long objects as they head towards a civilian home. The terrorist is using the boy as a human shield in a blatant bid to stop Israeli drones from striking.
Israeli forces said they identified the scene and immediately held fire once they spotted the child. “The terrorist exploited the child, using him as a human shield to transfer the weapons, in an attempt to prevent the IDF from striking and thwarting their transfer,” the military stated. “Upon identifying the presence of a child, the IDF refrained from carrying out any strikes against the terrorist.”
The IDF condemned the incident as yet another example of the “systematic exploitation of children by terrorist organizations for terrorist purposes, in violation of international law.”
This is not an isolated case. Israel has repeatedly documented Hamas embedding fighters and weapons among civilians, including children, throughout the conflict. Critics of the group say such tactics deliberately put innocents in harm’s way to generate propaganda and complicate Israeli operations.
The footage has drawn fury from those following the war, with many pointing out that Hamas’s own charter and actions show a willingness to sacrifice Palestinian lives – including the youngest – for military advantage.
As fighting continues in Gaza, the clip stands as grim evidence of how far the terrorist group is prepared to go. The IDF says it will keep targeting threats while trying to avoid civilian casualties, even when Hamas uses children as cover.
