A disturbing Instagram Live video is exploding online after locals claimed a man filmed himself moments after gunning down two men on Cleveland’s East Side, though police have issued no confirmation and named no suspect.
The raw, 20-second clip shows a man in a black hoodie with a bold white graphic design standing outside a residential building. With a goatee and short hair, he repeatedly points a handgun while speaking agitatedly to the camera, gesturing toward the street as the shaky phone footage jumps between his face and the surrounding area.
Brick buildings with black awnings, a metal gate, and porch steps fill the background. The video then cuts to chaotic, motion-blurred scenes of the street, including a red SUV and a dark sedan, before panning wildly upward to power lines and the sky, as if the phone was being jostled during rapid movement.
Cleveland police have not confirmed any connection between the Instagram Live and a homicide, and no suspect has been publicly identified. Official reports from the same weekend described a separate East Side shooting near E. 120th Street and Miles Avenue, where EMS found one man dead and a second man in his 30s in critical condition after being rushed to University Hospitals. That scene drew a heavy police presence and closed streets, but authorities have not linked it to the live stream.
The graphic clip is circulating widely as Cleveland continues to grapple with repeated shootings on its East Side. In recent weeks alone, the area has seen multiple gun-related incidents, including a fatal shooting on Fidelity Avenue and an earlier double shooting involving men attempting to sell a car near East 71st Street.
Police have not commented on the Instagram video. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Cleveland Division of Police. The story remains developing as investigators work to determine what, if anything, the footage shows beyond a man pointing a gun on camera.
