A 19-year-old Black River Falls man leads authorities on a chase across two counties and reaching speeds of 100 mph before crashing Monday morning. Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin said the chase started shortly before 9:00 a.m. near Black River Falls when officers tried to pull over a 1994 Chevy Prizm driven by Kegan Charles Fogelson. The chase moved into Monroe County along I-94 and eventually westbound on I-90. The car crossed over into the eastbound lanes of I-90. Fogelson's car also hit a State Patrol vehicle during the pursuit. A short time later, Fogelson hit a guard rail and lost control of his car. He was taken to a Sparta hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Fogelson had an outstanding probation hold arrest warrant at the time of the chase. Although other charges are possible, he was arrested on an additional charge of Felony Fleeing An Officer.
