A colony of seals has been filmed desperately throwing over a cliff edge after been scared by tourists.
Some of the panicking animals crash headfirst into rocks as they try to get to the sea.
Captured by St Mary’s Sealwatch, the video shows several startled seals throwing themselves into the sea, bouncing off and hurtling on to the rocks below at Whitley Bay in North Tyneside, reports the Chronicle Live .
The footage reveals the alarming consequences disturbances caused by human activity can have on seals bathing in the summer sun.
