A motorist captured the moment explosions ripped through two fuel tankers after a huge motorway crash involving 14 vehicles which claimed the lives of two people.
A massive fireball filled the sky as several witnesses filmed numerous bangs coming from the inferno at around 11.30pm last night in Ontario, Canada.
Police officers and other emergency crews who rushed to the scene were shocked by the devastation they encountered.
Sgt Kerry Schmidt told CBC News in Toronto: "It's something I have never seen in my life.
"A massive fire consumed nearly all the vehicles involved.
"There are multiple fatalities."
He added: "We have not had a chance to assess the scene.
"It is tangled, twisted mess, burnt out vehicles of all descriptions".
