A California man was killed in a standoff with police after holding his seven-month-old daughter hostage with him in a car on Sunday night.
Video from the scene showed police using a device that caused a cloud, rushing the vehicle and taking the baby from the car.
The incident began around 2.45pm at Kahler Russell Park in Covina when an officer noticed a white Toyota Scion blocking the park entrance.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed the 22-year-old suspect arguing with his girlfriend and threatening her with a pocket knife.
At some point the woman took the keys and got out of the car at the request of the officer. However, the suspect, described as a parolee, refused and kept his daughter in the back seat.
