agen Schaefer demonstrates the unique and exquisite properties of his recently completed commission, four years in the making. The object appears to be a wonderfully crafted desk, but with the right combination of drawer sequences it becomes a multi-leveled musical instrument and engaging puzzle box that is one of a kind. The desk was displayed at Plus Gallery for one evening before shipping off to Kagen's world-renowned client in NYC. Talent runs in the family, Kagen displayed the piece in conjunction with sister Robin Schaefer's exhibition of paintings "Unlearning the Differences."
