Dramatic dashcam footage shows the moment strangers pulled a woman from a burning car after a horrific 10-car pile-up.
The video begins with a truck slamming through traffic on Route 17 in Binghamton, New York, last Thursday.
One of the vehicles is seen resting against the central divide, engulfed in flames.
Drivers are then seen running towards the burning car, reaching into the window and dragging the woman to safety.
Bystanders then put out the remainder of the blaze with fire extinguishers.
The Mayor of Binghamton, David Rich, shared the incredible clip on Facebook.
He praised those who helped as 'brave individuals', and thanked them on behalf of the community.
Mayor Rich wrote about the video: 'It captures the chilling first moments of the crash and the actions of bystanders who pulled a woman from a burning vehicle.
