At least 51 people were killed and many more injured after a car bomb from the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIL/ISIS) went off in the soutwestern al-Bayaa neigbourhood of Baghdad, Thursday.
Local security sources said the vehicle was parked in a crowded street full of garages and used car sellers.
IS has claimed responsibility for the attack in an online statement circulated by its Aamaq news agency.
