A shocking clip has been released of the moment a teenager is violently stabbed in the middle of the street.
The footage shows the victim, 16, fall to the ground as a man in a hooded top repeatedly strikes him with a knife.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The video of the attack in South Norwood, Croydon, was filmed from a passing vehicle on Saturday.
Once on the ground, the victim is stabbed three times before the attacker walks away.
A Met Police spokesman said: 'Police were called at 3.18pm on Saturday to reports of a stabbing in Albert Road.
'Officers attended the location but could not locate the victim. A shortly while later officers were informed that the victim - a 16-year-old boy - had self presented at a south London hospital with a stab wound to the face and back.
'He currently remains at hospital with injures not thought to be life threatening. At this early stage officers believe that the victim was approached by a group of males and was then stabbed.
'The group made off in a vehicle. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the vehicle and those responsible for the stabbing.
'No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.'
