NBC’s Katy Tur may be making a mountain out of a molehill when she implied that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was sending a distress single because his lapel pin got turned upside down at Friday’s press briefing.
“He did fix his lapel pin, though. If you’re a student of American federal law or in the boy scouts, you would know an upside down pin does mean it’s a distress call,” Katy Tur said after the press briefing had concluded.
While Spicer did start the press briefing with an upside down lapel pin, he quickly fixed it once it was brought to his attention.
