An AFL umpire narrowly missed a concussion after suddenly colliding with a Brisbane Lions player on Sunday night.
Alistair Meldrum was goal umpiring the clash between the Brisbane Lions and the Richmond Tigers at the Gabba in Brisbane when he was knocked over.
Meldrum was struck from behind by Lions forward Daniel McStay as he ran for the ball following a shot at goal by Richmond's Connor Menadue, according to 9News.
