Pensioner saved by brave rescuers from freezing waters

An elderly citizen has been hauled from freezing waters by brave rescuers after accidentally falling into a lake while fishing.
Incredible footage shows rescuers Siim Malva and Margus Tamme plucking the pensioner from the Harku River in Tallinn, Estonia, after receiving the alert.
During the video, they can be seen quickly getting dressed before arriving at the lake and dashing in.
The elderly man can be seen using icepicks to keep himself from going under and appeared to be frozen in position as Mr Malva and Mr Tamme hauled him to safety.
'Somebody saw him from the window and called 112,' said Meelis Piller, an advisor to the Communication Office of The Rescue Board.
The Estonian emergency services responded to the distress call in just 17 minutes - they received the alert at 2:14pm and the man was pulled out of the lake at 2:31pm.
He added: 'Men in the rescue car take three minutes to dress (for an ice rescue). They do it in the car, otherwise those three minutes can be fatal for a victim.'
'Fifteen minutes in cold water can be fatal.
'The man could not move, but he was conscious. He suffered no injuries from the incident.'
The man was out fishing when the ice beneath him collapsed, causing him to fall in to the freezing water.
After being rescued from the frozen water the elderly man was transported to the hospital for a medical examination.
Mr Piller warned: 'We have some people who like to go to ice fishing and they never think about how dangerous thin ice can be.'
