Terrifying moment father and son leap from their burning boat after it explodes into flames

The horrifying moment a father and son had to jump for their lives after their boat exploded was captured on CCTV camera.
Their 25-foot Bertram boat had just refueled and was sailing out of Runaway Bay marina on the Gold Coast when it suddenly exploded and burst into flames.
A 19-year-old man in a high-vis vest was standing on the bottom deck of the boat and climbed up to the top a mere second before the explosion.
If the teenager had waited even an instant longer he would likely have been seriously injured, but instead he and his father had a lucky escape.
They jumped into the water unscathed and were picked up by another boat as their craft burned to the waterline in a huge fireball three metres high.
The marina was filled with thick plumes of black smoke billowing from the burning boat and was not extinguished for hours.
Police were not treating the blaze as suspicious but were investigating what went wrong.
