Shocking video has emerged of a gravely wounded man pleading for help after being run over by a van.
Elizabeth Kate Martin, 38, was arrested on Monday in Gulfport, Mississippi, after she allegedly ran over her boyfriend with a vehicle during an argument and fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.
Police said the male victim leaped up onto the hood of a 2009 GMC Savana that Martin was driving at around 11.15am.
Martin accelerated, causing the man to fall beneath the wheels of the cargo van as Martin drove over him, according to police.
The woman then jumped out of the van and ran into the nearby woods, police said.
Video of the aftermath shows the man lying on the ground begging for help in a feeble voice.
'His face is torn off' a woman exclaims, as she tries to help stop the bleeding.
Police arrive, and then paramedics, who load the man into an ambulance.
He was in critical but stable condition on Tuesday, the Sun Herald reported.
A K-9 was used to track Martin into the woods, where she was arrested around 11:45am.
She has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury and is being held pending $100,000 bail.
Martin has prior misdemeanor charges for speeding and driving without a license, as well as a bench warrant for failure to appear, according to court records.
